I Have made a small tutorial for editing your TDU savegame so you can add about 1.000.000.000 $ http://img.cheathappens.com/smilies/smile.gif
1. download a hex editor program like Hex Workshop
http://www.hexworkshop.com/
2. back-up your save (in case something goes wrong)
3. open Hex Workshop (or your hex editor) , open file playersave from My Documents\Test Drive Unlimited\savegame\username\playersave\
4. overwrite hex addreses 00000038 to 0000003F with FF
(Simply goto find and choose hex, then type 00000038, replace the two charcters with FF)
5. save it
6. open Hex Editor(or your hex editor) , open file playersave from My Documents\Test Drive Unlimited\savegame\username\playersave2\
(note: now edit playersave from directory playersave2)
7. repeat step 4 overwrite hex addreses 00000038 to 0000003F with FF
8. save it
9. enjoy your millions of dollars :P
have fun! P.S. it tooked me 2 days of evaluating values from 20 different saves :|

This could be constituted as cheating which we don't really want to encourage on TDUc. We'll see how the reaction is to this but please don't be angry if it's removed as most people here being it is a TDU community prefer to play the game through rather than rally through it with easy help. Especially those who bought the game! :)

I'm not implying anything about you with that last part but I've known a few people who will download a game, get the easy help then just mess with the game whereas those who buy it want to play it through and achieve the goods themself.

Understood, i completed the game before i made this, i was thinking it may help people, especially modders who overwrite cars and then have to find the money to buy them to test the car, this eradicates the need for that.

I'm for and against this.

Against mainly as its cheating and as kal said will kill trade, and the whole aspect of completing the game.

For and the only reason is for people who have completed it and there data has corrupted or have moved from an xbox and does not want to complete the game again.

Well, as I've said, I think it's a shame that anyone would want to make tools available that could kill someone elses enjoyment of an aspect of the game. Mods should be about changing your own game experience without affecting anyone elses unless they've chosen to join in as well. TDU-C had been a place I was recommending to find such mods, but if it's going to be a place that hosts cheats as well I'm going to stop doing that.

taht dont matter, it works perfectly online. i use Tsearch (mem editor) to give me any desire amount of money coz i cant be bothered to complete the game again when my savegame corrupts for putting a wrong size number plate in. The whole Cheating Prevention thing is rubbish imo. i dont see them banning or doing anything else.

This is a cheat simply, and it is not new. there where money cheats befor.
the only good thing is that when you hex edit your savegame the checksum gets wrong, and as a result of this the game will automatical ban you from the tread system in online gaming.

The game is quite easy to earn money, there so many hinds out there how to get legelly easy money.

Beside that people should know that they have to backup the savegame. it was mentoned as often as savegame crash reports. those that did not lissen and never made backups are fault by themself.

I personally do not consider it a cheat, more of an aid. You could have the fastest car in the game, but it doesn't make you win. At the end of the day it is still the user's driving skills that is going to give them the win.

I think it is a good idea for modders and/or people who just TDU for a cruise (such as myself) It saves them time on completing races/instant challenges just to buy a car to see whether it works properly.

You're assuming that people only play TDU for the racing. That's not the case - trade is an important part of TDU and it's ruined by this cheat.

I think it's a good idea! I really can't be bothered to keep doing races I've already done over and over again just to get money.

And I don't use trade anyway, so not going to ruin that either. I might try it as long as it doesn't do anything bad.

couldnt make it, i didntr get the part when you said 0000003F and last characters FF, means it have to be 000000FF? and i didnt understand how to edit, when i did go to, its was sign the A2 and i couldnt change the adress

Ive had my tdu profile since the release date an i always used to buy and sell on trade to make money, pre to patch it seemed to be easier i admit but i made over a billion without ever using a cheat, im always willing to donate to people who need cash, the modders here are by far tdu's best so maybe i can hook up with iced an transfer 300 million to his profile so he can help people out?? annoying that we have to do it at 9.9m a time but its not that slow, off to work now but pm or xfire me if i can help

Hey guys, I used to play this online and worked fine. I just bought cars from the trade section and their $10mill for some so it was good for that.

but i dont think it was cheating because i would still use to do the races.

cheating should be only counted as people using a trainer to clock on more kms or superfast speeds. I seen people using a trainer on TDU online and they would hit u at 700+ kmh and would smash u off the street really annoying

I don't care. I bought this game. I reserve the right to complete it how I want, and if it involves giving myself a bajillion dollars, so be it. I would not care if everyone online did it too.

Luckily, my savegame is from when trainers worked and was able to max my money with that. But I would never use such a device to unfairly win a race, and at the end of the day isn't that what matters?

Keep this thing up. It saves people time. I don't have enough hours in the day to fit in my college work, a job, a girlfriend and videogames, so I take one or two non-competetive shortcuts with the games. Especially since many games are far too long these days, I don't want to do the same race time after time again to earn the same money as I could if I hacked it.

So keep this please, it is simply a hack for people who don't have time to do the best prize money race a squillion times over. :)

TDU ONLINE caps out at 1.6-1.7 billion, after that it resets back to 0.
Thats why the trainer only brings your money to 1.65 billion.

Since people selling cars @ $9,999,999 it wrecked online trading, more then half the cars up for sale 'Aren't available' which is not only the $9,999,999 but all of them.
So its hard to trade.

I can honestly say I have used the trainer to get money.
After loosing my first saved game I was like meh why not.
I'm on my Sixth fresh save game and have used it Five times.
I play this game to have fun cruising and drifting, not to waste time making money.

Is this trainer going to screw up my game seriously ive been through that to the point where i had to do a system recovery and i dont want to go through that again......and same here i have lost my savegames many times and i really don't feel like redoing EVERYTHING all over again...its just too much
