Awesome! i LOVE this car.... just been driving the Roadrunner and that too is ace. glad to see that someone is up for adding more muscle cars in TDU.

I actually like the later Chargers (or Roadrunners), they are good cars and the 71 Hemi was just as fast as the 69.
The 68/69 Charger has become too...commercialized. It's everywhere and that's why I don't like it anymore.

Because this car is really famous thanks to General Lee, the Challenger is a famous car for its 426 Hemi and Vanishing Point, the AMC Javelin(pony car) outsold the Barracuda and Challenger but the Challenger/Barracuda are more famous

So what you'd need to change is make the rear black just near the lights, Get rid of the custom grill near the front wheels and that chrome air vent on the side skirt.

If you don't put any windows(or make them work) on the General Lee it would be better, because in the show the windows are always open and the doors are always closed(but you disabled that)

Last night I changed out the rims from the Noble 14. The General now looks much closer to the real thing. As close to the correct wheels as I could get in the game.
The small center is black once mounted not to far from the actual rims from the show.
Although the Z28 wheels do look cool, I wanted a more accurate version.
I don't think that is violating the modders rules?
Now we just need that guard on the front of the car!

Also took the 71' convert. Vette painted black w/blk interior and swapped the wheels with the older Ferrari/Jaguar wire wheels now I also have Carter's "Rush Hour" Vette.

I have bought the Challenger because it was cheap and it'll tide me over untill I get the Supa Bee and your mod running. Does your mod use the stock Super Bee sounds because in the youtube vids it sounded better than the standard Super Bee sound?

In the show the doors were welded shut, so I think the original modder may have done this on purpose? More true to the TV car, yeah!?

I think it is a real addition for the game, its the only complete car exchange I have made in the game. Only minor wheel and rear wing enhancement mods on others cars for me.

Hate to sound like a pain, but does anyone else have a problem with this mod? I've put it in the correct location but it's just plain not reading it right. If i choose to continue game from the menu, it says that it encountered an error and had to close...

Anyone got some advice? I'd really apreciate it.

Oriiiight, cause no one answered in one of the other General Lee/Charger-thread, here the Question again.
Is it possible to replace any other Car by the charger or do i have to delete the Coronet ?
Like in GTA modding time u just had to watch for the right doors (replace 4door with 4door, 2door with 2door)

Just rename the files to whatever other car you want to replace, just keep in mind that the driver's view and hood view are tied to the ORIGINAL car, not the replacement.

Just askin cause i want to replace the GT500, do i have the GT500 cockpit and hood then or what ?

You'll have the Charger hood and interior, it's just that the camera locations will be from the GT500 instead of the Super Bee, so the view from the interior or hood view might be a little strange.

I was reading very often that there is no way (or no one wants to talk about..) to change the performance in the files but what about (how turbolag said) rim size and ride height ?
Is it the same File as the velocity and acceleration stuff ? or something different where i can tweak around how much i want, cause that Charge is so low men, looks like a ricer. (or alternative is some one around who coincidentally know whats the "highest" car ?)

No you will get the Charger, but since this mod was not made to replace the GT500, it will almost certainly mess up with camera views / ride height and you might have other sorts of bugs aswell. ;)

And no, I don't think you can do this without ZModeler either, I'd wait for a real modder to answer that though. ;)

If we could edit '.btrq files' you wouldn't be able to play online, as TDU servers pick up this file and if modified it would just kick you.

I believe Iced_bullet said he was kicked before when he did a bodyswap and it switched .btrq files.

backup original files (location >> *\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Vehicules) & replace with new files.

Replace with new files ? .. There is no original files of the charger ! I've Putted these two files In the Directory (C:/.../.../TDU/.../well you know.../ Euro/ Vehicules) And ..Well the files are there but i don't find a Dealer to buy the car!

The GENERAL LEE needs a 2.0 version that features a pushbar on the front, CB intenia on the trunk, the skinnier lettering from the original TV show, Shelby Racing Rims, Taillight area blacked out, regular Charger (not R/T on the show or the movie) and you need to turn the flag right-side up (if you watch the show, the tip of the star on the center of the flag is pointing to the passenger side.)
